Situated next door to Cuffley Manor, our sister care home in Hertfordshire. Cooperscroft provides a nurturing environment for those with additional needs. Our outstanding level of care, which is highly tailored to each individual’s needs, ensures overall well-being and high-quality day-to-day life. Alongside the care we offer, residents also get to enjoy the tranquillity of our care home, nestled by lush greenery and beautiful gardens, as well as picturesque riverside views residents can take in while relaxing in the sunshine. The care home displays a sense of the beautiful English countryside, while still being very accessible to the busy London.

Luxury facilities such as an in-house cafe, cinema and fine dining restaurant are also available to our residents, who can continue living independently and feel like their own person in our safe care home environment.

Tailored nursing care

At Cooperscroft we provide residents with 24/7 nursing care of the highest standards. Our nursing care is unique because our professional team of registered nurses and carers customises every aspect of the care plan to suit your individual needs. We value strong communication, therefore our team always makes sure to provide you or your loved ones with full visibility of the nursing support given.

No matter the degree of care you require, we always find ways to make you feel confident, empowered and independent. Alongside the outstanding and warm care our residents receive, they are also able to use a wide range of luxury facilities and person-centred activities. This way we work on helping residents engage their minds, bodies and social skills, thus improving their overall well-being.

How to choose between residential and nursing care?

Nursing care provides 24/7, personalised support from dedicated teams and registered nurses. This makes it the perfect option for residents, who may require extra attention due to physical disabilities or mobility limitations. On the other hand, residential care is a great choice for residents who require less support but desire the safety of a care home setting and constant access to care teams, while being surrounded by a warm community.

What are the benefits of respite care?

Respite care offers many benefits to residents, who are provided with easy and 24/7 access to personal care and any other support they may need. Alongside the convalescent care, residents greatly benefit from meeting new people and participating in exciting activities organised at our Hertfordshire care home. This way we ensure everyone has their health and well-being needs met, while being stimulated and entertained.

Do all dementia patients need 24-hour care?

Although every individual’s case is unique, the majority of older adults living with dementia will eventually rely on around-the-clock specialist dementia care, to ensure their safety and health.

How fast does dementia progress?

There are many different types of dementia and unfortunately, all of them progress, although the timeframe for each of them can differ. It means symptoms can appear relatively mild at first but they get worse with time, usually over a few years. These include problems with memory, thinking, problem-solving or language, and often changes in emotions, perception or behaviour.
