I have worked at Cambridge Manor since July 2019. I can honestly say that I have enjoyed every moment, leaving work every day with a smile on my face. The management team are brilliant and so supportive of my personal development.
The home is a busy, happy and vibrant home and workplace with a great care team and environment. In fact, I have to say I feel privileged to work with the whole team at Cambridge Manor. The company ethos of Truth, Love and Compassion really shines through in everything we do.
I would highly recommend working at Cambridge Manor or for TLC Care in any of their homes because I truly believe Cambridge Manor is my second family.
I have worked for TLC for almost eleven years and have had various roles, in which I have been supported to develop and use my skills and experience.
My role as the wellbeing lead is the most fulfilling role I have had. Cooperscroft is such a homely place to be able to work at, it actually doesn’t feel like work sometimes, it just feels like home. There is always such a good atmosphere which is amazing to be part of and I stand by our values of truth love and compassion.
TLC really cares about the wellbeing of our residents and encourages us to be the best we can for the role we play, in ensuring our residents have the best quality of life they can. We are supported not only by the home’s management team but the regional support team as well.
Finance and HR Manager
I started at Cambridge Manor in 2017 as an Administrator and Receptionist for the home. During that time, I really took to the business and learned so much. The in-depth knowledge I gained of the finance systems, administration systems and processes were recognised, and I was promoted to an Administration and Finance Manager position as a result.
Me and the admin team are responsible for the smooth running of our back of house. So that our lovely residents receive all of the care and attention they need everyday.
Both of my parents and my two Grandmothers were chefs and bakers, and I learned how to create meals with love from the age of 10.
I am interested in all aspects of nutrition and hydration which is of great importance to the health and welfare of our residents. I pursued my interest in nutrition and was awarded an advanced qualification for my efforts.
I am originally from Sunderland and this is reflected in my accent and my love of good, simple but quality, British food. I worked for TLC at Cherry Hinton and was promoted to a Head Chef position at Cambridge Manor in May 2019. I love interacting with the residents and making a positive impact in their lives with my passion for cooking and baking.
I joined Camberley Manor, which is a surrey-based TLC care home in the summer of 2016. I soon realised that my role as a wellbeing lead helped me to fulfil my life aspirations, which are caring for others and making a positive change.
Working alongside a great team has helped me to make sure that every individual has a tailored experience suited to their needs and preferences.
Here at Camberley Manor we don’t only provide outstanding care, but we ensure that anyone who comes to stay with us is part of our family. This allows our ethos of truth, love, and compassion to be embedded in everything we do.
Finance and HR Manager
I joined TLC July 2019 as HR Officer at our support office. I was then offered the role of Finance and HR Manager at Camberley Manor. I have a background in banking as a Branch Manager but wanted to progress into the field of HR.
Camberley Manor has made me feel like I am a part of the family and I enjoy getting up for work every single day in such a rewarding role.
