I originally came to England following my marriage to an englishman and changed my career from Radiographer to nursing in 1983.
My nursing experience spans over 37 years in the field of mental health. I have also I worked in acute psychiatric settings, as well as working as a CPN (Community Psychiatric Nurse). I joined the care home sector in 1994 where I gained experience in all other care areas – as a Nurse, Deputy Manager, Home Manager and Regional Manager before joining Cambridge Manor last year.
My experience allows me to support a great team and enjoy the interaction with residents, families, and staff alike. My door is always open, and I feel that this experience has made me stronger in my approach towards care.

Renata Bridges
Hotel Services Manager
I have always worked in hospitality, starting my career as a Functions Supervisor at a Cambridge College and running my own pub/restaurant. Recently joining Cambridge Manor, I aim to bring my breadth of experience into the home to keep our residents as happy as possible.
I thoroughly enjoy working in the care environment which is similar to hotels, but it provides me with the opportunity to get to know the residents and have a familial relationship with them as individuals.
Maria-Grace Smith
Community Development Manager
I started my journey at TLC as the Hotel Service Manager at Cambridge Manor. I wholeheartedly believe in the values of TLC’s – Truth, Love and Compassion. I have developed a true love of our wonderful home, residents and team and jumped at the opportunity to become the Community Development Manager – a role which supports me sharing with Cambridge the wonderful home we have.
I strongly believe that moving into a care home shouldn’t mean moving out of a community and we are so lucky to be in this wonderful, beautiful city filled with culture – I am devoted to bringing Cambridge to Cambridge Manor.
Cambridge Manor is a wonderful combination of teamwork, love and dedication and I am so lucky to be the person who gets to show that to our potential new residents and the Cambridge Community.
