Amber Christou
Business Development Manager
I joined Cherry Hinton Care Home as Business Development Manager at the beginning of April. After 10 years in the hospitality industry, I decided it was time for a change in my career path. I have always been interested in the care sector and particularly passionate about helping people.
I am really looking forward to what the future holds at Cherry Hinton and to building fantastic relationships with both the residents and the wider community

Having completed a diploma in General Nursing from Bangalore, India in 2007 and a Bsc (Hons) in Nursing from the University of West London in 2011. I started my career in the UK as a Health Care Assistant while waiting for my nursing registration.
I then went on to work as a Registered Nurse in 2013 at St.George’s Nursing Home in Cambridge, I then got promoted to Care Manager within the same Company after 2 years. I joined the Cherry Hinton Care Home as a Care Services Manager in November 2019 and have now been promoted to the Home Manager position.
I am extremely passionate about looking after our elderly residents.
Seweryn Ptak
Wellbeing Lead
Over the years I have worked as a cultural coordinator in many associations, whilst gaining 5 years of experience as a Wellbeing Lead in the care sector.
I love this work because I know how important my role is in our elderly friends everyday lives. Bringing back memories and smiles on their faces is undoubtedly something precious and unforgettable.
Here at Cherry everyday is full of smiles, positive emotions and laughter. Our Wellbeing Team provides: exciting exercise sessions, classical music afternoons, flower arranging and much, much more.
