Overview
Meet The Team

Marion Wak-Williams

Home Manager

I am honoured to be part of the team as Home Manager at Cuffley Manor Care Home and thrilled to join the TLC Family. I believe in our vision to be the number one UK leading Care Home of Excellence in Dementia, Nursing and Resident Care.

I started my nursing career in 2010, after I qualified as Registered Nurse, I worked in the NHS for three years however; moved to Private Healthcare to allow me to have further opportunities to build relationships with residents and their families. My career has been fulfilled in so many ways, I have also achieved Accredited End Of  Care Champion with Marie Curie Hospice Hospital and Outstanding CQC Rating.

I excel in delivering excellent care, I wake up every morning knowing that I will make a delivery to the lives of our residents and team. I pride myself on making the right choices for the team and residents, always acting in the best interest of those we are caring for; ensuring the team deliver a positive outcome for the residents to live happy and fulfilling lives.

Lyju Jose

Care Services Manager

Prior to moving to the UK, I was a Registered Nurse (RN) working as a staff nurse for three years in an Emergency Care Unit, in New Delhi, India.

I came to the UK in 2008, initially to study for an NVQ Level 4 in Health and Social Care, as part of understanding both the social and medical care provided in the UK.

I was fortunate to be able to work for  Care Homes, initially as a Senior Care Assistant. As I developed my skills, knowledge, and exposure to the care home environment, I was promoted to Team Leader, then an opportunity became available to become an Assistant Manager since 2016.

I joined the TLC group as a Care Service Manager at Cuffley Manor in May 2021 and I am loving the family atmosphere here. I am very passionate about care and people, and I strive to ensure that our residents are receiving outstanding person-centred care in a safe homely environment.

Welcoming care home community in Hertfordshire

We take great pride in the strong community we have built at our residential care home in Hertfordshire. We strive to create an atmosphere where everyone feels encouraged to express themselves and share their thoughts with others. To make it easier for our residents to socialise and stay active, we regularly organise an array of different events and activities, which are personalised to suit the interests and passions of our residents. On top of that, we have created a wide variety of spaces where residents can share a cup of tea or coffee, be it alongside an exciting conversation or as a moment of peace and quiet, depending on their own preference. And with such facilities, as our mini-golf course, afternoon tea, beauty salon and art studio – there will be no shortage of places to partake in hobbies and meet like-minded individuals.

Why is joining a care home community good for the elderly?

Becoming a part of a friendly and welcoming care home community can bring great benefits for the elderly. Unfortunately, seniors often face feelings of loneliness, as staying social becomes more and more difficult due to mobility issues and other factors, that make it hard for the elderly to go out independently. A strong sense of community enables residents to socialise, share their stories, meet new people and feel seen, all while receiving needed care.

How to choose between a nursing care home and a residential care home in Hertfordshire?

Deciding which type of care is more suitable for you or your loved one can be a difficult and overwhelming decision. One key factor to consider when making a decision is how much care and attention is required by the resident. Although both residential and nursing care homes provide 24/7 care, nursing care homes provide a higher level of medical care managed by qualified nurses and can be ideal if you have a complex medical condition or a physical disability.

Meanwhile, residential care is perfect for residents, who wish to join a community and continue with their daily routines in a safe care home environment, where can receive care and assistance at any time of the day.

At TLC Care, we appreciate that making the right decision for your loved one takes careful consideration. That’s why our highly skilled team are equipped to provide advice on how best to proceed, helping you find the perfect level of residential or nursing care for your requirements.
