Why is residential care beneficial for the elderly?

Our approach to residential care helps the elderly continue being independent, social and active while having 24/7 assistance and care whenever they may need it. It’s also a great option for seniors, who may be feeling lonely and would prefer to be a part of a friendly community, making it easier for them to stay social and engaged. Moving into a safe residential care home near Haverhill also offers peace of mind to the resident’s family and loved ones, as they know our specialist healthcare teams provide personalised and empathetic care of the highest standards

Residential care vs nursing care – what is the difference?

Nursing care offers 24/7, highly personalised support from professional healthcare teams and registered nurses. It is the perfect option for residents, who require additional support due to any physical disabilities or mobility limitations.

Residential care is a great choice for residents who don’t necessarily require specialist treatments or care daily, but desire to be a part of a welcoming care home community with guaranteed safety and constant access to care teams.

When should an elderly person move into a care home?

Moving into a care home can be a difficult transition for the elderly. However, sometimes it is the best choice for their safety and wellbeing. Some possible signs your loved one needs professional care include:

  • It is becoming unsafe for your loved one to live by themselves, or they don’t feel safe living alone.
  • Your loved one can’t keep up with their routines and personal hygiene.
  • They are mismanaging their medication.
  • Decreased mobility is another sign, highlighting an increased risk of falls and injuries.
  • Increased forgetfulness or confusion also indicates that your loved one may need additional support.
