TLC Cambridge Manor Care Home was honoured to welcome Lisa Allen, Head of Corporate Partnerships, Events and PR at the Pink Ribbon Foundation, on Wednesday 12 November 2025.

The visit brought together residents, families and members of the local community to raise awareness of breast cancer. The session aimed to offer clear and compassionate information about early detection and the support available for those affected.

During her talk, Lisa shared practical and accessible guidance on breast cancer. She highlighted the signs and symptoms, the importance of regular self checks and screening, the benefits of early diagnosis, common myths and misconceptions and the ways in which the Pink Ribbon Foundation supports people through its holistic approach.

Attendees were encouraged to ask questions, share concerns and learn more about how to look after their health. The session created a welcoming space for open conversation on what can often be a difficult and sensitive subject.

Lorna Russell, Managing Director of TLC Care, said: “We are very thankful to Lisa from the Pink Ribbon Foundation for coming in and delivering a talk at TLC Cambridge Manor. This poignant partnership allows us to bring awareness directly into the heart of our home. At TLC Care we are committed to supporting our residents, their families, our team members and our local community with both exceptional care and the knowledge to look after their health and wellbeing.”

We are deeply grateful to the Pink Ribbon Foundation for visiting TLC Cambridge Manor and for the vital work they does to support those affected by breast cancer.
