Lyju Jose
Care Services Manager
Prior to moving to the UK, I was a Registered Nurse (RN) working as a staff nurse for three years in an Emergency Care Unit, in New Delhi, India.
I came to the UK in 2008, initially to study for an NVQ Level 4 in Health and Social Care, as part of understanding both the social and medical care provided in the UK.
I was fortunate to be able to work for Care Homes, initially as a Senior Care Assistant. As I developed my skills, knowledge, and exposure to the care home environment, I was promoted to Team Leader, then an opportunity became available to become an Assistant Manager since 2016.
I joined the TLC group as a Care Service Manager at Cuffley Manor in May 2021 and I am loving the family atmosphere here. I am very passionate about care and people, and I strive to ensure that our residents are receiving outstanding person-centred care in a safe homely environment.

The decision between nursing care and residential care
Choosing the right type of care for your loved one is a challenging decision. Especially when trying to choose between a residential and a nursing care home. To make this process easier we offer a variety of care homes that provide the care you may need in the Hertfordshire area, with Cuffley Manor providing outstanding residential care and its sister home – Cooperscroft offering highly tailored nursing care.
To provide some guidance, the nursing care homes will be perfect for residents with more serious physical disabilities, critical conditions, requirement of palliative care or any type of complex medical condition that requires specialist equipment and 24/7 care. Meanwhile, residential care is suited best for residents with less severe medical conditions. It’s great for residents who wish to live independently in a safe care home environment, all while having constant access to care and being surrounded by a warm community.
