TLC Care was proud to once again partner with Cake4Kindness, continuing a shared commitment to spreading compassion through baking and meaningful community connection.
Founded by Neel Radia, Cake4Kindness was created to help counter loneliness and isolation among people experiencing homelessness. By sharing something as simple as cake, the initiative encourages conversation, creates human connection, and brings moments of joy to those who often feel unseen.
TLC Care community effort across nine homes
On Friday 21 November 2025, all nine TLC Care homes came together for Cake4Kindness Day. Residents, relatives and team members baked, decorated and delivered cakes with one goal in mind: to brighten someone else’s day with kindness.
This year, a total of 1,552 cakes were lovingly baked and donated. Team members gathered in Oxford Circus to distribute the cakes. Some were donated to the Food Bank and some were delivered to local charities, including homeless services, food banks, hospitals and community centres, ensuring kindness reached people who needed it most.
More than baking – moments of purpose and connection
The day also created special moments within our homes. From choosing recipes to icing and decorating together, residents enjoyed the chance to take part in something bigger than themselves. For many, it was a joyful reminder that small acts, shared with others, can have a powerful impact.
“Cake4Kindness Day is a beautiful reminder of what happens when people come together with open hearts. Seeing our residents and teams across all our homes unite to bake and give back has been truly moving. We’re delighted to support a mission that spreads joy, creates connection, and helps reduce loneliness in our communities.” – Lorna Russell, Managing Director, TLC Care
TLC Care extends a sincere thank you to every resident, family member, team member who supported this year’s Cake4Kindness Day. Together, we’ve shown that kindness – especially when shared, can go a long way.
