Since 2019, TLC Care has been assessed and has achieved ‘World Class Accreditation’ by Hospitality Assured for 5 of their care homes. On the 8th of June 2022, they were assessed by Max Lawrence FIH a Hospitality Assured Director and Assessor for their 3 other care homes and their Support Office. They have now achieved World Class Accreditation across the entire group, the first and currently the only care home group to achieve this accreditation.

Max said that ‘Hospitality Assured is recognised globally as one the leading business and service excellence frameworks. The achievements of the team at TLC Care have been outstanding, placing the organisation as one of the higher scoring members of the Hospitality Assured community.  Excellence is at the core of the TLC organisation and something that the team delivers on a consistent basis with continual improvement always the aim’.

Lorna Badrick, Chief Operating Officer expressed

“It is an absolute pleasure to share that we have once again achieved Hospitality Assured World Class across our TLC family – a real team effort that showcases our one team approach and the impact that this makes on the lives of our residents. We are committed to continually improving our hospitality provision and listening to the feedback of our residents, families and team members. Our values of Truth, Love and Compassion are at the heart of all we do and it was lovely to hear that our Hospitality Assured assessor felt these values throughout our organisation with everyone that he spoke to. I would like to say a huge TLC thank you to our amazing team members who are at the heart of all we do and who have worked so hard to achieve World Class status. Well done team TLC.”

On the 4th of July 2022, after a 2-year absence due to the Pandemic, The Institute of Hospitality Annual Dinner & Awards returned at the Hilton London Bankside.

This year the awards are open to applicants from across the globe, from any hospitality segment and specialism, across small to large hospitality organisations.

TLC Care attended the awards with senior members across all of their care homes as well as their Support Office. TLC Care won not one, but two awards, firstly, the Hospitality Assured Award for Service Resilience during COVID-19, and also their Karuna Manor Care Home won the Highest Scoring Newcomer in 2020 (Postponed due to the pandemic).

Max Lawrence commented “It was a privilege to welcome the TLC team to our iconic black-tie event this week at Hilton London Bankside.  TLC walked away with two awards for the resilience shown during the Covid 19 pandemic and for the Highest Scoring Newcomer through their single team approach. TLC Care both inspires me and humbles me with its commitment to its residents.”

Alina Pa’un, Customer Experience Coach at TLC Care joined TLC Care in February 2017 from the hotel sector and since 2019, she had led the Hospitality Assured Project.

Alina said, “I am inspired and motivated by the exceptional teamwork that TLC Care provides. The Hospitality Assured World Class Accreditation is an important part of providing and evidencing exceptionally high-quality service and care. This is my favourite project as it is linked to every single team member within TLC Care.”
