Memory Loss Care

TLC Care has a very specialised and bespoke care approach for individuals who are experiencing memory loss, due to Alzheimer’s or other forms of Dementia. Each of our care homes provides a dedicated Memory Loss Care programme and management approach that is designed to provide therapeutic benefits as well as creating a stimulating and rewarding environment. We have incorporated a number of unique features to make everyday life safer and less challenging, such as state-of-the-art call technology in bedrooms, AND (add other features, colours, nostalgia, signs). Gentle activity programmes keep our residents engaged and interested and our entire ethos is to enable residents to feel valued and live a fulfilling life with a deep sense of belonging. Our Memory Loss Care requires higher staffing numbers and is provided by carers who are carefully chosen for their ability, patience and empathy and we ensure that these extraordinary individuals are fully supported and trained to meet the changing needs of residents with Memory Loss conditions.

Residential Care

Individual care is designed to create a feeling of ‘being at home’. The focus is mostly centred on maintaining lifestyle choices to help our residents to retain their choices, personal preferences and independence as much as possible in order to enjoy fulfilling and stimulating lives. This is delivered in an environment where their personal privacy and space is retained. For example, en-suite rooms are standard and many homes has private dining rooms for family occasions. There are a different reasons to choose Residential Care. Perhaps someone has reduced mobility, or they need extra support with some aspects of everyday living. Perhaps they are just lonely and isolated and want the reassurance and companionship that care home living brings. In every event, this care approach aims to promote good health and overall wellbeing by providing for immediate needs alongside a rich and varied programme of activities and opportunities to retain everyday life as close as possible to when the resident was living in their own home.

Nursing Care

For residents with more complex or demanding medical conditions, Nursing Care enables them to receive the expert nursing care they need, but within the comfortable surroundings of their home-from-home care environment. We have the facilities and equipment available to support a range of medical scenarios, from support with medication through to 24 hour nursing and our rooms are fitted with the finest profiling beds and mattresses for comfort of residents who may need to be in bed for longer periods of time. This Nursing Care option is provided by qualified nurses who are part of the TLC Care team and have specialist, up-to-date knowledge of elderly care and end of life care, where we support residents and families through these difficult times with dignity and compassion.

The moment you enter our homes you will notice the fresh, clean smell, the immaculate bathrooms and pristine furniture.
Cleanliness In the regular surveys we undertake, residents always tell us they feel safe in our homes. All of our care homes are designed with safety and security of the residents at the forefront of our vision. The care we provide is risk assessed and regularly audited to ensure we manage risks and improve how we care for residents.
Own Furnishings All rooms are furnished to a high standard and include specialist beds and chairs for ease of use. However, many patients decide to also bring their own possessions, such as cupboards, chairs and paintings, to recreate a true home-from-home experience.
Décor We aim to provide a very high standard of interior in all of our care homes to create a home-from-home environment that residents are proud to call home. All of our homes have been fully re-furbished or are brand new within the last (12 months). View our gallery to see our exquisite interiors.

It is this variety and difference that is intrinsic to the wellbeing of our residents and the highest levels of care and service to our residents.
