You told us that the following are important to you:
Hobbies and social activities
We encourage and support our residents to pursue their own interests and hobbies as it is central to wellbeing and health. We offer a wide range of in-house facilities as well as a diary of events at each home. See our events calendar here.
Food is very important to us too! In each TLC Care home we offer restaurant style dining serving a delicious, freshly cooked menu three times a day, with snacks, homemade cakes and beverages available throughout the day and night. This helps to ensure our residents eat and drink enough to ensure a healthy diet in a social, convivial atmosphere.
The standard of cleanliness in our homes is exemplary and our housekeeping teams undertake a comprehensive, daily cleaning routine across all communal areas and individual patient rooms. The moment you enter our homes you will notice the fresh, clean smell, the immaculate bathrooms and pristine furniture.
In the regular surveys we undertake, residents always tell us they feel safe in our homes. All of our care homes are designed with safety and security of the residents at the forefront of our vision.
The care we provide is risk assessed and regularly audited to ensure we manage risks and improve how we care for residents.
All rooms are furnished to a high standard and include specialist beds and chairs for ease of use. However, many patients decide to also bring their own possessions, such as cupboards, chairs and paintings, to recreate a true home-from-home experience.
We aim to provide a very high standard of interior in all of our care homes to create a home-from-home environment that residents are proud to call home. All of our homes have been fully re-furbished or are brand new within the last (12 months). View our gallery to see our exquisite interiors.
Emotional, social, cultural, religious and spiritual care
We pride ourselves on carefully assessing residents so that we can provide care that meets their needs, values their diversity, ensures people’s dignity and treats them with respect at all times. One of our homes, Karuna Manor, with its temple, was designed specifically to meet the needs of people of the Gujurati faith, and welcomes residents of all denominations. It is this variety and difference that is intrinsic to the wellbeing of our residents and the highest levels of care and service to our residents.
At TLC Care our culture is driven by our Core Values of Truth, Love, and Compassion. These values, which are at the heart of everything we do and our dedicated and highly trained professional care staff are supported and motivated to provide the care needs of our residents with warmth, friendship and dignity.
There are many opportunities to socialise in our care homes, with buzzy cafes, communal lounges and garden areas, some homes even have a pub where friendships, new and existing, are nurtured. We are also involved with local communities, sharing activities to promote a sense of belonging for our residents.
